After 11.20.03 shop-stewards’/HRM meetingUGICT CGT trade-union informs youNoise abatement to improve working conditions in ADRIA tower It seems that HRM does not consider that its responsibility is involved, only regretting that there are not many solutions available. It’s obvious that the layout on top floor is not quite the same as on other floors: such inequalities play a part in the bad working conditions in Adria tower. ADRIA restaurant: modification of the kiosk-system, request for additional employees to support restaurant’s staff, fast lunch kiosk, doors, persons invited by employeesRegarding the restaurant, HRM transmits the problems to the Works Council in which a specific section is dedicated to issues concerning the restaurant. Obviously, HRM does not want to hurt Avenance and rejects all solutions: no switching from the kiosk system to a self-service system, no hiring of extra personnel to support the restaurant’s staff, no kiosk dedicated to a fast lunch system, no meal voucher delivery option, no modification of heavy access doors, no cheap lunch tickets for persons invited by employees. We also asked for additional personnel to be assigned to the cafeteria, where often there is only one person to serve coffee. No date has been set for the transmittal of the results of Avenance questionnaire to customers: are these results not in conformance with Avenance’s expectations ? HRM’s only proposal is to set mandatory lunch hours according to the floor in the tower in order to avoid peaks. Coercitive measures against residents and employees are certainly not likely to turn into an efficient facility a badly designed and too small restaurant based on an absurd system. TECHNIP might be expected on the contrary to obtain improved services from Avenance. ADRIA - Smoking areas and hot and soft drinks dispensers
Smoking-room fume extraction systems are not to be modified to improve smoke control, but smoke detectors will be changed during Xmas holidays: new detectors will not be actuated by cigarette smoke, whatever the quantity. HRM threats to call for discipline against smokers in offices. HRM rejects our proposal to provide smoking areas separated from public access areas, considering that the building surface cannot be extended. This is not a serious answer: priorities should be reconsidered to set residents’ and Employees’ interest as a priority. Cup dispensers will be installed by the end of November. Improvement of common facilities: mail room, conference rooms, office supplies, etc.
HRM rejects our request for mail offices for deposit/delivery on floors 10, 21, 30 and 38. Refurbishing of floor RR corridors, remodeling of the heating system in mail office and insulation from goods delivery (strip door or air curtain), accepted by HR management last month, will be carried out during Xmas holidays. HRM did not answer our question concerning the fact that there are not enough meeting rooms, or large enough conference rooms, (+ meeting room on floor 25 remaining open). Requests for colour printers and Xerox machines must be filled-in in the intranet. HRM did not answer regarding soiled corridors on office floors and faulty air conditioning in toilets. HRM accepted our request concerning recycling of printer and Xerox toner cartridges. A system will be set up soon. HRM agrees that there is a problem concerning facilities allocated to office supplies storage and keeps seeking a solution. Layout, work stations: improvement of office arrangements
We informed HRM that the layout on 10th floor is unacceptable and that it should be modified. HRM accepted to see what could be done. Outside this positive answer, no improvement of office arrangements has been accepted. HRM declares that moving is always organized so that all items, furniture, IT, telephone, should be immediately available, without any expediting action by the resident or employee. They declare that problems are exceptional. They did not answer regarding blind offices. They acknowledge that no drawing is made to prepare office layout and claim that the workload is too heavy not to improvise to meet urgent needs. UGICT CGT still asks for a skilled office layout specialist to be appointed to design office arrangements in compliance with ergonomics rules HRM indicates that all persons are entitled to a wheeled cabinet with proper lock and key for personal items. You should ask for one if you have not been given any. Similarly, cupboards, larger tables, clothes racks or hangers, partitions, lamps and white boards will be supplied upon request. Lifts in ADRIA tower (blocking, control buttons, steadiness, mirrors)
Otis considers that lifts are sufficiently steady. However, a particularly shaky lift will be checked further to our request. Early in December, the system should be changed to prevent excessive waiting time on floors: three lifts will be dedicated to ten floors each. Management will transmit information before the system is operational. New mirrors have been ordered. A substitute for the present control button system is still being studied. We consider that buttons that have fallen off the control panel should be replaced at once. Blocking still occurs, but HRM did not answer regarding this issue. Problems affecting IT: failures, response time, hotline, inconsistent software versions
HRM knows that servers are unsteady, but declares that measures have been taken. Windows versions are changed only when PC are changed. The head of the IT division will be present during the works council meeting on Thursday: we will ask when these problems are to be solved. Insufficient information concerning the tower, insufficient orientation panels
HRM says that dozens of guided visits have been organized in ADRIA prior to moving of Boulogne personnel. New orientation panels will be provided. This has already been carried out in the parking lot. HRM refuses that names should be indicated in offices and says that window numbers are sufficient for orientation. Additional orientation panels will be provided on floors 2, 4 and on payroll floor. Trade Unions information boards at entrance to working facilities in ADRIA tower in compliance with the French law and with instructions from Labour Ministry Authorities - Employees adverts notice boardHRM refuses to comply with the French law governing trade union information boards to be installed at entrance to working facilities. It refuses to install additional information panels, now provided only on restaurant floor and on the 2nd and 21st floors. Employees’ adverts notice board has been installed in ADRIA in the restaurant corridor opposite trade union panels. Access to ADRIA car park: safer access
Only the step will be adjusted. Town services are to improve the road, in the future. Moving, air conditioning
We did not get any answer concerning HVAC requiring fine-tuning. Fax failures no longer happen and the proper department should be contacted in case of problem. The leaflet concerning safety at work will be transmitted to all by mail. HRM did not know whether it is possible or not to use fast-dialling instead of typing the whole contract number when contract number is needed. Aerial opposite Adria: potential risk assessmentHRM will check the matter. |
